Portland Transplant Office - Transportation

Transportation to the Portland VA are set up by the Referring VA Center.  Your individual travel office will arrange for your flight to Portland and should fax a copy of your itinerary to the Portland Transplant Office.

Arriving at the Portland Airport:

Pick up your luggage first.  Call our VA from the Information Booth near the luggage pick-up so travel may be ordered.

If you arrive Monday thru Friday, between 8am - 4:30 pm, telephone our Facilitator, (503) 721-7860 and she will order your taxi.  It will be a Radio Cab (unless other arrangements are made). Please ask the driver if the VA sent the cab. If you do not take the cab ordered by the VA, the driver will charge you fare and you will not be reimbursed.  Radio Cab should be looking for you.

If you arrive during the evening or weekend, call the VA AOD (503) 220-8262 ext 55424 and say that you are a transplant patient and need a ride to the lodging unit in Vancouver, WA.

Leave the airport building near the luggage pick-up and go across the street to the Starters Booth to catch your taxi.  Airport staff is in that area if you have questions.
