Getting Started at the Portland VAMC
For New Investigators The administrative
office of Research & Development Service is organized
to assist investigators with submission of proposals,
review of proposals, management of funds, and recruitment
and retention of employees. Refer to the list of R&D
Administrative staff for the various services that
they provide.
The first thing new investigators need to do is fill
out The Investigator
Data Sheet and return it to the Research Office. The
Investigator Data Sheet (also called a “page 18")
is needed for investigators new to the Portland VAMC.
It is completed once and updated on an annual basis.
Principal Investigators should also read the Summary
of Principal Investigator Responsibilities (32KB,
MSWord).

Committee
The Research & Development Committee is the
governing body of research that oversees all research
proposals. The subcommittees include, IRB, IACUC
and Safety. |
