Julie Nelligan, PhD, completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at University of Washington and then obtained her doctoral training in Clinical Health Psychology at Ohio State University. She has eight years of clinical experience and has worked with a variety of individuals in a variety of settings. Her clinical interests include managing depression and anxiety in individuals with medical diseases, treating substance abuse disorders in individuals with medical diseases, and the neuropsychology and cognitive effects of various physical illnesses. Her research focus is depression and substance use disorders in individuals with hepatitis C. She is currently a Psychology Resident with the Northwest Hepatitis C Resource Center at the Portland VA Medical Center.
