David Indest, PsyD, is a clinical psychologist and the Program Manager of the Northwest Hepatitis C Resource Center (HCRC) at the Portland VA. He develops programs assisting veterans to complete appropriate treatments for hepatitis C: These programs address the varying physical, mental, emotional, and social challenges that often accompany HCV infection and treatment. While emphasizing the total care of veterans with HCV, Dr. Indest also integrates his work with ongoing research studies to help determine those clinical practices that will best help people with HCV. Dr. Indest's commitment to integrated care comes from over a decade of working in the prevention and treatment of HIV. His specialties are behavioral medicine, mind-body disorders, public health, behavior change, human sexuality, and applied clinical research.
